How do working people manage with a young puppy?

I recently got a Toy Poodle, and he is 48 days old now. I’ve had him for about a week, and I’m trying to figure out how other working people manage their puppies.

I work 5 days a week and have to be in the office for around 5 hours. At the moment, I leave him in a separate room when I go to the office, with his food and water inside. I’m obviously worried about whether he’s okay being alone for that long, especially since he’s still so young.

For those of you who work full-time, how do you manage your puppy during office hours? Do you use a crate/playpen, have someone come in to check on them, use daycare, or have a family member/pet sitter help?

Would really appreciate hearing how you guys manage your routine, especially with a puppy this young.
