HELLPP!!Two shops merged into one salon in Sharjah, should I keep 2 SEWA connections or merge them?

everyone,
I’m currently in the process of opening a ladies salon in Sharjah, and honestly the whole process has been pretty confusing 😭 so I’m hoping someone here who has dealt with something similar can guide me.

I’ve rented two separate shops next to each other, and I’m planning to merge them and operate them as one salon.

From what I understand, since they are two separate shops, they currently have separate SEWA connections/meters. Someone told me that it may be possible to combine everything and have one connection instead.

I’m trying to figure out which option makes more sense:
1. Keep both SEWA connections as they are
2. Apply to combine/convert them into one connection

My main concern is cost. I’m trying to keep the fit-out within a reasonable budget, and I’ve heard that changing/merging the connections can become quite expensive. At the same time, I don’t know if keeping two separate commercial connections will mean significantly higher monthly SEWA charges in the long run.

Has anyone in Sharjah merged two commercial shops into one business before?

If yes, did you keep both SEWA connections or combine them? Roughly how much did the process cost, and were there any additional approvals or issues with SEWA/Sharjah Municipality?
Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations from someone who has gone through this process. Thank you!
