Multiclad skillets make no sense
The key benefits of multiclad is heat conducted to the sidewalls and quick temperature control up and down.
But when searing a steak in a skillet, the sidewalls don't play any significant role, and the temperature stability of a clad-base skillet is much more useful. Add to it the resistance to warping.
Why do people insist on multiclad skillets at all?
