How tidy do you really keep your house when owning a cat?

Hi, im getting a kitten soon and even tho ive had cats in the past they were allowed to free roam outside so they never were creating a chaos in the house. However i moved to an apartment and its my first time having a strictly indoors cat.

I know they say ‘keep anything you dont want broken hidden away’ but do we mean LITERALLY?? Im as it is very organized and clean person and have a pretty minimally decorated apartment and most of the stuff has its onwn place other than the ones that dont fit anywhere.
For example my big makeup organiser in on tge countertop next to the sink.

My house is clean 99% of the time but sometimes im just tired after work and tell myself ill tidy up tomorrow. Its nothing much, a shirt here and there, makeup next to the organiser, a dirty glass or teo in the sink. Since my cat will be alone from 8am to 4pm while im at work, does this mean ill have to always leave the apartment in perfect condition before i leave or go to sleep if i dont want her to make a mess?

I know all cats are different but i want to hear the general impressions
