28 year old guy wanting to get back into Tamagotchi for nostalgia.

When I was a little kid (age 7-8) I got the Tamagotchi v3 and was OBSESSED. I would connect with my friends at school during recess who also had Tamagotchis. I would go on tamatown.com and get all the items and codes and it felt sooo magical.. I eventually got the v4.5 and was also obsessed with it. I would have generations and generations and the continuity felt so nice.

I eventually grew up and I'm not sure where my Tamagotchis went.

I'm a 28 year old guy now and I really wanna get back into it, but I'm totally overwhelmed with the options. What should I look into if I wanna have a similar experience of connecting with tamatown and things like that? Any thoughts?
