Looking for suitably bad 1890s piano music for The Importance of Being Earnest
Hi all! I’m looking for a recording of deliberately rather bad piano playing that would be appropriate for a production/rendition of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest.
Ideally, I’m after something that sounds plausibly 1890s / late Victorian... Perhaps a period piano recording or suitably old-fashioned piece played somewhat clumsily and occasionally disharmonious.
It would be great if the recording were royalty-free / public domain, as this is for a production, although that’s not an absolute requirement.
Does anyone know of any recordings, archives, musicians, or sources that might have something suitable?
Thanks!
