My first Ultra phone 🙌; I previously chose smaller Pros. My last Samsung was an S7 Edge; I'm switching from a disappointing Google Pixel 11 Pro.

So, I chose to revive an old glory ...

The Galaxy S26 Ultra (realizing how much it's changed since the S7 Edge, yet retains its core) is probably the best smartphone I have ever had.

I'll briefly share my experience as an Apple native, having used iPhones up to the 16 Pro (with a brief BlackBerry/Samsung/Xiaomi parenthesis 10+ years ago).

Switching to Android with the Pixel 10 Pro last year really improved my daily life, and both Pixel OS and OneUI are great, but different.

As seen in the second to last photo, I've customized OneUI to look like Pixel OS; I've done a lot, but this is temporary as I'll switch to Samsung stock once I'm done with this.

It's incredible; calling it a smartphone is reductive, it's more like a handheld computer 😂. Joking aside, beautiful, lightweight design for its size (lighter than its iPhone or Pixel counterparts), impressive performance. Opted for the 16 GB RAM version for future-proof AI and better DeX (faster than my MacBook). Size not exaggerated, still usable with one hand (I have big hands). Battery lasts longer than smaller phones, but charging speed (with the right charger) is most impressive. I always use a cover and screen/lens protector on my smartphones, so missing both the MagSafe and Pixel Snap were never a real issue.

Also pleased to find third-party trackers work with precision tracking, I could reuse items bought for the Pixel.

But the best part is the price. I paid almost €500 less than the list price, WITHOUT a trade-in, and it included a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 FE ⚛️

BOOM 🤯 S26U 1TB/16GB ⚛️ is in the house!
