BMW Goodwill (330e electrical fault)
I've a question for anyone who's had a major component failure that BMW Ireland agreed to cover, in part or whole, as a goodwill gesture.
My 2019 330e (G20 - 123,000km) developed a fault with a component connected to the high voltage batteries. The "Safety Box" replacement and labour will cost €3,500. I'd read elsewhere that BMW Ireland sometimes covered some of the costs is the car was less than 8 years old and had less than 160,000km on the clock. But I'm not sure if that's the case.
In my case, I asked the main dealer to check and they said the request was refused by BMW Ireland.
I'd like to know if anyone else here did manage to get costs reduced as a goodwill gesture so that I might be able to appeal that decision.
It would be interesting to hear from anyone else who had a similar issue.
