Laptop cpu Fan Noise Fixed (i Guess..)
Today, I was on my way to college when it suddenly started raining, so I went back home. My laptop got slightly wet, so to be safe, I opened the back cover, disconnected the battery, drained the remaining power, and checked for any moisture inside.
For the last two months, one of my laptop fans had been making a noise that sounded like a small water motor. I thought I would eventually need to buy new fans. Since I already had the laptop open, I decided to try cleaning them myself.
It turned out to be easier than I expected. I carefully removed both fans, separated the fan blades from the small motor, cleaned everything, and added a tiny drop of coconut oil into the motor shaft hole because I didn't have any proper lubricant, Then I reassembled everything carefully
The fan noise completely disappeared. Both fans are now running very smoothly and quietly. I'll keep monitoring them over the next few days to see if the fix lasts, but so far it looks like the problem is solved.
Next time ill use proper lubricant
