I fucked up and ruined the GPA for half of my class.

So I was in charge of dividing our class into teams and assigning them their own topics to present to the teacher, but I completely forgot for a week or so.

I asked my teacher to extend the deadline and I was ready to take full responsibility, she said OK so I thought it was fine. It was not. Turns out her OK was not a “sure I’ll extend the deadline for you guys” but a “sure I won’t blame you but I’m going to skip those teams entirely”.

But I didn’t know that so I just told the first teams to present on the week the next teams were supposed to present. And because I misunderstood I caused another set of teams to get skipped.

I’ve tried to work with the teacher and take full responsibility many times but every time she brushes me off and just says she’ll deal with it later. I’m so fucking guilty and lost as to what to do. I’ve apologized many times to the teacher and to my class but I know that that’s not enough considering how important this score is. What should I do?
