Prediabetic to diabetic
I never had diabetes until I reached perimenopause (at 45 years old); it shows I now have diabetes and slightly high blood pressure.
As a diabetic, I managed to lower my HbA1c from 13 to 7, and my blood pressure is now stable. Recently, I've been experiencing cravings and consuming sweets, which has resulted in my blood sugar level being 15.
I'm wondering if perimenopause and menopause caused spikes in my diabetes, and if this was temporary?
I'm very curious regards this as doc keep saying need take medicine if not get heart attack get strokes but for those who has been on medications for long time also still get stroke get heart attack too,...
Maybe someone can share what they experience with n without medicine
