every morning this happens

ever since upgrading to ios27, every morning i check my phone, as i’ve always done. yet since updating, my screen won’t wake up. i usually go to bed listening to something soothing on youtube and set a timer for it to shut off while i’m sleeping. depending on when i awake, i usually grab my phone first thing. tap the screen. nothing. if music or something is playing, that will still play. i tap the screen (that’s still pitch black dark) and will hit the pause button and it’ll pause, but screen is still black. screen will not wake up unless i double tap the on button.

wtf is this? has anyone else encountered this? it’s bizarre.
