Can anyone help me 🙏

So right now I am in 4 th yr in my btech undergade degree well not a very good student though.I have my backlog in 1 st and 2 nd sem chemistry and physics.The reason why I am not eligible for my on campusing in clg and in my 2 nd and 3 rd yr both of my cgpa is 6.30 and 6.45 yeah pretty low I know that but recently one company came to hire for oncampus and they put the eligibility criteria for makaut students are 65% which is 7.25. Maybe it's for this company but other company have other eligibility criteria but I asked one of my friend whether in off campus what is the minimum cgpa required he said minimum should be 6.5 . Right now I am quite in a dilemma I building my skills solving dsa questions etc etc...So I want to know that anyone can help me out that this cgpa is really matters so much or the skills which is required or if It really matters this much then should it be concerning for me ?
