Looking for daily budgeting advice for 3 months in Bali.
F30. I’ll be in Canggu for 3 months and I’ve been getting mixed reviews about groceries in Bali. How expensive are they really?
Basics like eggs, bread, chicken from grocery shops?
Is approximately IDR 200k per day budget doable? Minus accommodation and the occasional partying/fancy restaurants expenses, of course. I’m also not big on daily massages or coffee shops or smoothie bowls and such. For my daily routine I mostly want to eat out once a day at a local warung, and cook another meal myself, chill by the beach in a shack at sunset and maybe have a beer.
How expensive are gyms on average? And I don’t mean Nirvana or Obsidian. I mean regular non-influencer gyms but well equipped and preferably air-conned.
I’ve visited before for two weeks but I was on a “fuck it, I’m in Bali” budget and spent around $3000 USD in two weeks and I cannot realistically afford to do that when I’m there for 3 months. But unlike last time I really do want the local experience this time, go to more local shacks, speak with and get to know more Balinese people, eat with them and experience the true culture.
Would also appreciate any budgeting tips, things that you’d recommend I’d stock on before arriving.
Thank you!
