Toddler vomit cleaning?

FTM to a 14 month old. He has a cold and cough at the moment and vomiting mucus. he’s never been a sicky baby, some reflux when he was a newborn but that was nothing really. Husband and I aren’t sicky people either so, as daft as it sounds, I don’t know how to deal with vomit!

He was sick last night twice and I’ve cleaned it with zoflora and hot water but my house smells of it and I’m in the process of double washing everything with bio and napisan then non bio.

What do I need to be washing with? How to clean the carpet properly? How to get rid of the smell? Any product recommendations that are kid and cat friendly? how to clean the washing machine (i used dr Beckmann washing machine cleaner yesterday but not sure if that’s enough!)

I want to make sure I’m properly disinfecting and cleaning and need to get this smell gone.
