Let’s get the most important detail out of the way first: I absolutely love metal, but I am tragically lacking the requisite hair to headbang properly. What I lack in sweeping follicles, I make up for in excellent taste and sheer enthusiasm.

I’m 49, proudly neurospicy, and I come with a very real warning label: I talk quite a fair bit. If you’re looking for a guy to sit in brooding, mysterious silence across the dinner table, I am definitely not your man. But if you want someone who is genuinely caring, values clear, straightforward communication, and absolutely guarantees to make an impression from day one, we might just be a match.

By nature, I am an unapologetic geek. My particular flavour of nerdery involves tearing into classic retro consoles (long live the Sega Dreamcast), 3D printing highly specific solutions to everyday problems, and dialling in the absolute perfect turntable setup to spin vinyl.

I’m based here in the Northwest and currently share my space with a delightfully demanding cat named Broccoli. She essentially runs the house; I just handle the maintenance and open the tins.
