iOS 27 – noticeable lag when using Classic Invert

Since updating to iOS 27, I’ve noticed a noticeable delay when switching Classic Invert on or off.

I have been using Classic Invert for many years — since the iPhone 3GS / early iOS versions - and the change has always been practically instantaneous. Under iOS 26 and earlier, there was no noticeable delay.

With iOS 27, there is now a short but clearly visible lag before the colors are inverted. This is especially noticeable when using the Accessibility Shortcut (triple-clicking the side button).

To be clear: I mean Classic Invert, not Smart Invert.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior in iOS 27?

iOS: 27
iPhone: 16 Pro Max
Feature: Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Classic Invert
