are part time jobs for a high schooler even real ?

the whole summer i have been searching applying and got one job offer as a waitress but its almost 40 mins far away and only 1580-1800 aed pay , i would be wasting half my money on transportation although i made a CV and set some examples for the graphic designs i can make [ most of them are school work ] , i was thinking if i could find a freelancing job could be better

honestly i heard that there was a girl who got a job but it was through a " my dad knows someone" connection then applying endlessly
