Need Advice/Opinions
So I got a very unexpected favorable decision when my IBS secondary to GERD after surgery was approved at 30% when it was previously denied because of (no official diagnosis) I had all the symptoms, just never went to a doctor to have them specifically diagnose that. They had it put in on my C&P exam that was scheduled for my TDIU claim but I never thought anything of it. That being said that decision bumped me up to 100% and they determined it to be P&T.
Now my question here is, I’ve been fighting to get my TBI service connected for nearly 2 years now between the same (no official diagnosis) and now being denied for continuity of care (I literally never even thought about the fact that I had an actual TBI for YEARS just thought I was forgetful until I met my spouses mother and aunt who are MDs). I have severe memory issues to the point of forgetting daily hygiene and medications without reminders to forgetting if I even showered that specific day (also the reason this process has taken so long because I just forget until I’m reminded by something or someone). From what I’ve read I may be a candidate for SMC-T but I’m not really sure how high the burden is to be approved for that or if it’s even worth pursuing and risking poking the bear. Please any input would be appreciated even if I forget about it until my phone reminds me.
