Medicaled out, recovered, unrelated illness, reenlisting? (sanity check)
It's the fifteenth enlisting post today and I'm adding to the pile
I joined a few years ago, only got 3 and a half years into my first contract before needing a handful of emergency surgeries and getting an uncharacterized (yes really) discharge because I didn't heal on deadline (no nice way to state this). I accepted this over a lengthy process without an adequate profile that would have messed me up.
Well, a couple months after my chapter, since I was able to rest, I was healed up and back to full capacity. Grand. From here I think reenlisting isn't too problematic with a physician's note. It's been about 2 years.
Issue is, for unrelated reasons I got sent to mental hosp twice for being a little too honest (whoops), once 8 months ago and once 12 months before that. I know I can never work 31D, or resume my track to aviation. Is it just too much medical history to reenlist in general? I don't want to walk into a recruiter's office and waste time if it's not even feasible. Menty health situation is also resolved but I'm sure it's still a waiver and a certain amount of time passed at best. Just unsure if it coming after a previous physical problem makes this more stupid than anyone would want to deal with. Appreciative of any reality checking
