The Waiting Game that is IVF

​After over two years of tests and trying different medications—mostly to get things on my end in order—my wife and I were finally able to create embryos and try our first transfer back in February. Unfortunately, it didn't work. We had hoped to try again fairly soon, but what followed was months of procedures, tests, mock transfers, and monitoring.

​Seven months and many tears later, we finally got to have our second transfer today. Now comes the dreaded two-week wait.

​I am simply amazed at how strong my wife is for going through hell just for a chance at having a family. She has mostly kept a positive mood even when things were hard emotionally and physically. We knew it wouldn't be an easy journey, but we certainly didn't think we would have to wait seven months just for another chance.
