Did Knotts make a mistake investing $20 million into Monte?

It's been 1.5 months since it's been reopened and aside from a couple weekend days/Halloween Haunt, the queue hasn't filled up (when full, it's only a 30 minute wait).

While it's a great ride and definitely more intense than it was prior to the refurb, I can't imagine Knotts/Six Flags being happy with there almost never being a line for the ride when they just dropped $20 million into the refurb.

Yes, I know it opened right before school came back but even during Labor Day weekend and Halloween Haunt, it hasn't seen more than a 30 minute wait.
