Casual training, looking for a new watch
Hey everyone 😃
I'm currently using the honor watch 4 and while it tracks everything okayish, it lacks 3rd party integration and does not support RCS..among some other tiny things.
Now, for sport I do: Indoor rowing (water rower) outside of summer, pool swim during summer, running and occasionally biking.
Lately I added strength training to fight off my knee pain.
Now, since Christmas is coming slowly closer I was thinking that's a good time to get a watch upgrade.
While visually there are many other brands with nice watches, something always comes short.
Like Coros and the wheel on the side - won't get used to it.
Suunto 9 Peak, more Bezel than screen.
After a long search it seems like this leaves me only with a small pool options, especially considering the watch shouldn't be bigger than 43mm due to small wrist size.
On my short list are now the Forerunner 170, Venu 4 41mm and maybe some Vivoactive.
Would the Forerunner 165 support rowing the price alone would have made it easy, but after ordering it and testing it I came to know it does not support indoor rowing, watch itself was fine.
170 would be the next best, but it's way more expensive here
165 cost 169€ while for the 170 they want 300€, with music 350€.
With that price the Venu 4 41mm for 400€ doesn't seem like the better choice, considering I'm used to take emergency calls via my current watch and the Venu can do that too.
I'm also way more used to full touch controls and never had issues with accidental touches. So the 5 button layout does not seem like an improvement to me.
What's your guys feedback on the mentioned watches?
Or is there any other dark horse comparable to those 2 ?
Thank you!
