Best way to arrange craft station upgrades?

I hate the upgrades. They’re unsightly, bulky, and always in the way. Okay, okay. The Gildr table upgrades do look pretty cool. But the rest are an eyesore.

What are some tips and tricks for arranging them well?

So far I’ve tried two things-

1. Put the crafting stations against the walls and the upgrades outdoors against the adjoining wall. This looks pretty dumb and ruins the outside aesthetic.
2. Build a long shelf along the ceiling and place the upgrades above each station. This still makes the place look pretty cluttered.

Any fresh ideas?
