Welcome to r/MobileSuitDev: start here

Hi everyone, and welcome aboard!

r/MobileSuitDev is the community for mobilesuit.dev, a free fan-made database that maps how Gundam mobile suits were developed from one another. Pick any unit and you get its full development tree: what it was developed from, and every variant, successor and upgrade that came after it.

Anything about Gundam mobile suits is welcome here, not just the site.

What's on the site

• 3,800+ mobile suits across 14 timelines (Universal Century, Cosmic Era, Post Disaster, Anno Domini and more)
• 3,900+ Gunpla kits, browsable by grade and release year, each linked to the suit it depicts
• Community builds: post a photo of your finished kit and get credited as the builder
• Every Gundam series in release order, with the units that appear in each

What to post here

• Lineage & Lore: "wait, that was developed from this?"
• Gunpla Build / Work in Progress: show off your kits
• Kit Question: which kit should I get, grade comparisons, tips
• News: new series, kit announcements
• Site Feedback / Bug Report / Data Correction: help make the database better

Quick guide

1. Pick a post flair when you submit.
2. Tag spoilers for anything recently aired or released.
3. Found a wrong or missing entry? Use the pinned feedback megathread, or post with the Data Correction flair and include the page link.
4. Grab a user flair (HG/RG/MG/PG builder, UC fan, and so on) from the sidebar.

Please give the rules a quick read.

To get things started: comment below with your favourite mobile suit, and the one whose development tree surprised you the most.
