Urgent MRI following bone lesion on femur found following knee injury, any advise

Hi, am really worrying for my son he injured his knee and had an xray, following this they’ve said they’ve seen a bone lesion and booking an urgent mri. I am so scared it is something awful he is only a teenager 😔the waiting is awful, just feel so scared, any advice appreciated
