This Update Will be the downfall of this game

Discussion

Playing this game has definitely had its ups and downs since the beginning, but at least it was still an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, this new update has seriously hurt the experience for me.
Melee weapons are much harder to find, playing as a civilian has become extremely toxic, and Michael feels way too strong now. I understand that he’s supposed to be a terrifying serial killer, but there still needs to be a balance that makes playing as a civilian just as fun and rewarding.
The residents are also extremely unhelpful. They’re easily discovered even when they’re supposedly hidden, which makes trying to save them feel pointless sometimes. If rescuing civilians is going to be a major part of the gameplay, there needs to be an actual incentive to protect them rather than constantly feeling like they’re just making the situation harder.
I’ve put 30+ hours into this game. I’m not a pro player, but I’m definitely not a noob either, so I’ve had enough time with the game to understand the mechanics and what makes the game enjoyable.
I really hope the developers take another look at these changes. Michael can still be powerful and terrifying without making the civilian experience miserable. The goal should be to make playing both sides fun, not make one side feel like a chore.
Right now, this update feels less fun, less balanced, and more frustrating than the game was before. I genuinely want this game to succeed, but if these issues continue, I can see this update pushing players away.
