Heroic Dungeons. Good idea? Bad idea?

My knee jerk reaction is no. What purpose would they serve? Another step in power? Gear thats better than regular dungeons but less powerful than raid gear. Seems unnecessary.

On the other hand what, if the heroics had more cosmetic loot or higher drop chances for crafting mats.
