Setting Life Totals and Lifegain Interactions

I've got a rules question about life effects I'm looking for clarification on. My current understanding is that cards that set your life to a sum like [[Exquisite Archangel]], [[Eternity Vessel]], [[Mr. Negative]] and the like register the difference as lifegain or loss for the purpose of triggers. How does that interact with cards that double lifegain or loss?

In this deck, I'm running both [[The Wind Crystal]] and [[Selenia, the Cursed Heart]]. If one of them is on the board and I reset my life (in a variety of ways), do they see the lifegain and then double it? If my life total is 6 and I have Eternity Vessel out at 20 and play a land, does The Wind Crystal (or Selenia) see a difference of 14 and then double it to 28, thereby exceeding the amount that Eternity Vessel would restore? Thanks in advance.
