Why are most people right handed? What causes one to have a dominant hand or be ambidextrous?

I am guesstimating on the flair here as I assume the answer is somewhere in the neuroscience field. I would also not be surprised if there is no clear answer, but I would appreciate a summary of leading theories.

Idk, I think it's interesting that, while some people are left-handed, most people are still right-handed. I am intrigued as to why it is not 50/50 nor everyone being ambidextrous.
