To people who frequently do holidays in both the Canary Islands and the Philippines, which is better and what tips can you give me if I want to do holidays in the Philippines?

Especially regarding street smarts / avoidance of scams?

Actually, I'm a Filipino, but I never really travelled the Philippines before I left for Ireland. Now, I'm more well-travelled in Europe than in the Ph. Also I'm scared of being targeted for scams because I have a foreign partner.
