I have a prescription on these glasses so I have to keep it on at all times to see. Recently, more people are aware that there is a camera and assume the glasses are recording all the time. Not being aware of time limits and battery life.

Worst are the people who automatically assume that anyone who wears this is a 'pervert'. Even in more well-educated communities. Some go as far as saying 'pedofiles' nowadays.

I'm sure that there are people who use this for inappropriate things. Some people can abuse even the most innocent objects.

Some news outlets seem to add fuel to the fire and cause further outrage and controversy.

I use mine only when I'm on holiday or travelling. I usually make recordings of random places, like a sign or a road. Edit them later to a compilation of all these everyday objects. It's more convenient to use the glasses since I already have them on.

It's also practical to record technical things like the entrance of an airport. What kind of shops and services that are available. Anything that you can miss or forget.

These recordings might seem strange as they are so random and don't focus on any big event or anything noteworthy. This combined with the fact that I'm clearly a visible tourist/outsider that already gets too much attention, makes it even harder to wear them comfortably anymore.

I'm considering retiring the glasses and use my phone for AI and Camera and earphones for audio. It won't make much difference, but at least most people would not be so judgemental anymore.

Why is there such obsession to mention 'pervert' when talking about Meta Ray-Ban?
