Women who have ever said “no” playfully during sex. How do your partners know when you actually mean no?

Genuine question because I recently went down this rabbit hole about a little known phenomenon called “token resistance”. Basically, it's saying no/playfully resisting when you actually want things to continue. It's way more common in heterosexual encounters.

For women who do this, how does that work for you in practice? Is it only with partners who already know you well? Tone/body language? Safeword? Something you guys discuss beforehand?

And if you sometimes say no but obviously also genuinely say no at other times, how does your partner tell the difference?

Not suggesting anyone should assume a no is playful btw, that's consent 101. I'm specifically curious about women who actually have this dynamic and how you navigate the ambiguity.
