Hey everyone! 👋

I’m a big fan of **Total Drama**, and I’ve recently become interested in creating my own original reality-show-style story. I wanted to ask the Disventure Camp community what you think about this idea and whether it would be appropriate to share something like that here.

I’ve been interested in animation and storytelling for a long time, and my dream is to eventually work as an **animator, comic book artist, storyboard artist, writer, executive producer, and director**. I’d love to create a project that combines those interests.

I grew up enjoying Total Drama, and I’ve also participated in Total Drama role-play games and written quite a few fanfics over the years… although I have to admit, I have a *terrible* track record of actually finishing them. 😅

Disventure Camp is one of the things that got me thinking more seriously about making my own reality-show story. I also really enjoy web series such as **Battle for Dream Island** and **Inanimate Insanity**, so I’m interested in that whole independent/web-animation side of storytelling.

I’m **not trying to make a Total Drama or Disventure Camp clone**. My goal would be to take the general concept I enjoy — a cast of characters competing in a reality-show-style competition, with challenges, alliances, rivalries, friendships, eliminations, drama, comedy, etc. — and build my **own original world, characters, setting, rules, story, art style, and identity** around it.

I guess my main questions are:

\- Would you be interested in seeing an original project like this?
\- Is it okay to discuss/share an original reality-show concept inspired by these kinds of web series here?
\- Are there any subreddit rules I should be aware of regarding original projects or self-promotion?
\- And for anyone who has created something similar: what advice would you give someone trying to turn an idea like this into an actual animated series?

I’d really appreciate any thoughts! ❤️

And yes, I’m *actually* trying to finish this one. 😂

Would it be okay to create my own reality-show story inspired by Total Drama and shows like Disventure Camp?
