Hey all! I'm excited to share v1.4.0 of Pokemon Amethyst has released! This release is packed with a ton of new features and QoL changes, including a heavily requested Battle Frontier! It's [available on HackDex](https://www.hackdex.app/hack/pokemon-amethyst) now! You're also welcome to join [our Discord server](https://discord.gg/PAKps59djr) but are not pressured to! All docs are linked on HackDex.

**What's changed**
Here's a summary of what's added and changed. I'd definitely suggest checking out the [full changelog](https://www.hackdex.app/hack/pokemon-amethyst/changelog) for more details!
\- The Battle Frontier can now be accessed in the postgame!
\- **8 different facilities** with unique rules will test your skills
\- Opponent teams are built dynamically from a pool of over 2000 spreads, resulting in billions of unique team compositions
\- You can change the battle background and music played at any facility
\- You can pause and resume streaks at any facility, at any time, to continue exploring
\- 32 new move tutors and all species-specific Z-Crystals are available here
\- Initiate a Wonder Pick to randomly receive any non-legendary frontier Pokemon, which are fully prepared for frontier battles
\- If you don't enjoy these kinds of battles, that's okay! Almost every reward available here can be obtained without doing a single battle
\- Hisuain forms were added to the game via swarms, meaning **every Pokemon up to gen 8** is available!
\- The player can earn 5 trainer card stars, netting them a fancy Black Trainer Card
\- Added New Game Plus mode, where (almost) everything from your previous save carries forward
\- Added the option to sort your PC boxes
\- Added item data for all items up to gen 8
\- Some are inaccessible normally (ex. Mewtwonite) but are fully functional for those that wish to hack them in
\- Added the Magma Stone and a new trade for a Masuda-method compatible ditto to ease breeding
\- The game is now sized at 32mb which should allow it to be flashed to carts more easily (I do not have the setup to validate this unfortunately)
\- A new Cosplay Pikachu gift
\- The Item Finder now works similarly to Unbound's Dowsing Machine
\- New options were added to adjust the overworld and battle animation speeds. These will be dependant on your hardware's capabilities
\- New game modifiers added for mega evolving multiple times per battle, and catching wild Pokemon with perfect IVs
\- And so much more!

**The Future of Amethyst**
I released Amethyst as a complete game back in May, and since then it has only gotten better! As of v1.4, I've been able to implement all the features I dreamed of when I started the project years ago, and I'm incredibly happy with the state it is in. I'm going to be shifting my focus to bug fixes and small tweaks, and do not have any sizeable features planned. If you've been waiting to hop on Amethyst, now is the best time!

It's been such a blast making this romhack, and I hope you've been enjoying it as well!
