I just released an app called Spatial Display.

It’s a remote desktop app for iPhone + Mac, but it takes a different approach from the usual remote desktop apps.

Instead of fitting your whole Mac screen into the iPhone display, it places your Mac monitors around you in virtual space. You can move your phone left and right to look at different displays, move closer to read small text, and control your Mac directly from the phone.

The idea came from finding traditional remote desktop apps a little awkward to use on a small phone screen, so I wanted to try a different interaction model.

It launched this week, and I thought it might be interesting to people here who use their iPhone with a Mac.

Would be interested to hear how this kind of spatial navigation feels compared to a normal remote desktop setup.
