Playing for the story?
So I've been playing for a while and I got a friend who's interested in WoW story, I streamed warcraft 1, 2 and 3 and now we're playing WoW with the idea of slowly getting through the story as if it was some sort of a story game or something like FFXIV with MSQ
Since retail levelling is a bit too fast, It's a bit hard to do everything, we started with MoP Classic, gonna take him to different questing zones trying to mix world building, the conflict between horde and alliance, and fun quests, and after we do Pandaria we'll swap to retail
I did a 'checklist' of zones that I'd like to visit with him through different expansions with the help of someone from my guild who knows a bit more than me about questing.
Classic
Azshara (10-20)
Ashenvale (20-25)
Northern Stranglethorn (25-30)
Southern Barrens (30-35)
Western Plaguelands + Eastern Plaguelands (35-45)
Badlands (44-48)
Tanaris (48-50)
Burning Steppes (50-55)
Silithus (55-60)
Burning Crusade
Hellfire Peninsula (60-62)
Zangarmarsh (62-64)
Nagrand (64-66)
Blade's Edge Mountains (66-68)
Shadowmoon Valley (68-70)
Lich King
Howling Fjord (70-72)
Dragonblight (72-75)
Zul'Drak (75-77)
Storm Peaks (77-79)
Icecrown (79-80+)
Cataclysm
Mount Hyjal (80-82)
Deepholm (82-83)
Uldum (83-84)
Twilight Highlands (84-85)
And then Pandaria.
If possible I'd like to avoid blocking exp. I am not really sure about wotlk, I think Howling Fjord is a good starting zone and Icecrown would be ideal as the last zone, but for example I'd like to do at some point something from Borean Tundra, specially the start since you see Garrosh and Saurfang and it could be nice for him to see, but not really sure how to do it without blocking exp, same goes for Icecrown :C
Any changes, tips or recommendations? Tysm
