So… **I encountered a wild Mesprit today.** 😭
I was just playing Pokémon GO normally when I noticed something unusual in my **Nearby Pokémon**.
I checked it and there it was — **Mesprit.** 😳
I immediately took a screenshot because I wasn’t 100% sure what I was looking at.
And here’s where it gets funny.

I sent the screenshot to ChatGPT and asked:
**“Which Pokémon is this?”**
ChatGPT confidently told me it was **Lopunny.** 💀
I told it that it was wrong and asked it to look again.
It then confidently told me it was **Hisuian Zoroark.** 💀💀

At this point I was like… **BRO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!**

Meanwhile, I had literally spotted **Mesprit on my Nearby Pokémon**. 😂
Thankfully, I didn’t listen to it and **immediately went for the encounter.**
I used a **Golden Razz Berry + Curveball Ultra Ball** and managed to hit an **Excellent throw**.
And thankfully…
**I CAUGHT IT. 😭🔥**

So now I’m wondering about something:
**Would this have been a Master Ball-worthy catch?**
I actually had my **Master Ball** available and, for a moment, I seriously considered using it because it’s a wild Mesprit and I didn’t want to watch a Legendary flee after finding one randomly.
But I decided to try the Ultra Ball first.
**Golden Razz + Curve Ultra + Excellent**, and luckily it worked.
So I’m curious about what the Pokémon GO community thinks:
**Would you have thrown the Master Ball at this Mesprit?**
Or would you have done exactly what I did and tried Golden Razz + Ultra Balls first?
Also, **how rare is it to encounter Mesprit in the wild like this?** Is this considered a particularly lucky encounter, or do they show up often enough that I shouldn’t be too shocked?
And finally…
**RIP to my trust in ChatGPT’s Pokémon identification skills. 😂**
At least it didn’t stop me from catching it.

**What would YOU have done? Master Ball or Ultra Ball?**

I randomly encountered a wild Mesprit today… and almost got terrible advice from ChatGPT 😭 Would YOU have used a Master Ball?
