Genesys help for a old player

So I'm an older player that kinda stopped playing after/during the pendulum era. I got randomly recommended a bunch of Genesys videos recently and after hearing about it it really got me interested. But I really am wondering if my really bad decks of Subterror and Gemini monsters would even work in this format. I didn't win much way back and I don't expect to win 50% of my games but I'd like to know if I at least have a chance or if I'm bound to be stomped again.
