This generation isn’t weak. It’s actually pretty powerful.

casual hot take

Most people think this generation is weak and whiny, but in reality they aren’t.

It just so happens we’ve been raised by a generation that forced us to adapt and evolve into people that DO NOT want to repeat the same cycle, and we’ve actually contributed more to society while being young.

Everything is more inclusive now. Why? All those protests, all those “whiny social media posts”, and all those “weak changes.” actually are helping other, even the older generation.

Of course, a percentage of our generation takes it too far from time to time, and maybe some demands can get too much when it came to being TOO sensitive.

But most kids and young adults in this generation do NOT take crap. They know their worth, and they don’t settle for a life they’re unhappy with just so they can lash out at the even younger generation over their decisions.

Women are being given more rights, more freedom.

Men are able to express themselves more without much judgement.

Of course, it isn’t perfect. I admit there are still problems, like the gender war, but you know what? The fact that there is a war and not one-sided anymore? That’s a win.

More people are aware about mental illnesses that nobody would ever acknowledge in the past, so now they’re adjusting well in life.

We are able to shame those who need to be shamed (abusers, bullies, etc.)

And boost those who need help. (Struggling artists, struggling parents who need financial assistance, even a dying business.)

We are sensitive.

But we aren’t the ones raising our children scared at even the smallest sound of creaking of the floor.

Belts are just belts for the next generation.

A woman can freely leave an abusive relationship.

We don’t need to settle for a low paying job with terrible leaders.

People with disabilities have more accessibility and support.

It’s not perfect,

It’s not all 100%

And it hasn’t happened to the rest of the world, but at least we’re getting somewhere.
