First Pick

Hey guys, I just started again after 12 yesrs of break and really enjoy it, currently between Gold/Plat in Solo/Duo.

I do see often, that First Pick is tried to be traded to me as Supp Main or even blatant refused if i ask for swap, if I am first pick. In this state of the game I think Jungle or Bottom are way less punished with first/counterpick instead of Support. Why does the larger playerbase think beeing counterpick doesnt matter for support?
