Getting Burnt Out

I genuinely have no idea what to do about my pricing.

I changed from fixed pricing a month ago to calculated because I was eating into my profit with having to subside some of the shipping cost.

Then calculated just raises the prices of shipping (especially with USPS raising their prices. They are about to raise them again temporarily for the holidays). I already have to sell my items at higher rates. Otherwise, I don't make a profit (I can't buy in bulk because of cash flow).

Now I changed back to fixed for a base of $5 shipping because all this and last month I have barely made any sales, and I really think it's because of the shipping rates. I had a person message me earlier this week about purchasing some items on Wednesday, well that came and went and haven't heard from them so I think they ended up not wanting to purchase bc of shipping.

BUT I've basically had to raise all my prices by at least $3-$5, and now I'm worried that no one will buy because my prices are so high!

I feel like I can't win. I'm really want to make a living off this, but I'm finding it hard to match prices and get sales. I'm getting views, favorites, and shop follows but no sales.

My shop is only 2 years old (so in the grand scheme of things, I'm probably just crashing out for no reason), but the economy is not getting better either, and that's probably another reason.

Do I just need to go back to calculated shipping or just stay with the fixed for now and see whats what?
