Disappointment with the Ars Goetia

Ritual instructions

I bought it with the intention of learning how to commune more directly with the Objects of my Devotion.

Everything in it is heinous and repugnant to me, except the Shemhamphorash, which is practical and useful. When I reached the Magic Circle and Triangle instructions I accepted them at face value. The further I read beyond them, the more abhorrent the instructions became. I made a post on r/Luciferianism about it if you want to know what my exact grievances are.

By the time I reached the end of the book, i was so repulsed by the intentions and values it contains, that I am second guessing even using the magic circle and triangle, even though I know they are the most widely used portions of the instructions and used by the vast majority of practitioners.

*So my question is this:*

Is there another path? Is there another school of magic and thought? Is there an alternative?

I will not accept anything that instructs me to go forth with threats and in domination *from first to last* and *unnecessarily*. I will not accept anything that instructs godly invocation.

I am open to writing my own incantations, and may have to.

What do you use for protection in place of Solomon's magic circle? What are the ethics of using the Triangle, in your opinion? What, other than a circle of some sort, do you use and keep on hand for protection?

I am looking to develop a respectful working relationship with these deities. I have not come to seal them in brass. The workings need to reflect that, while still protecting me and equipping me with the power to dominate *in case of emergency*.
