Is this a slow fade or am I overreacting? ðŸ˜
Met this guy online randomly this summer, and we've been texting non stop every single day since. We just clicked right away, share the exact same weird sense of humor, have our own inside jokes, and constantly banter and tease each other about everything. I couldn’t help but get attached.
It might sound silly, but it’s genuinely been some of the most fun I’ve ever had talking to someone, he just made my days.
Up until recently, he was a super fast replier. He’d message me even while at work and hit me up the second he got home, he barely even gave me enough time to type out my reply.
Then the past couple weeks everything totally changed. He started taking 1 or 2 hours, then like 10+ hours, and now I'm lucky if I get a couple texts in the morning and at night, and that's only because I reply quickly enough and act like always. Don't get me wrong, I know life gets busy, but it was just so out of nowhere and I can't help feeling his absence. He still takes the time to send me a couple texts a day, but it’s obvious I’m the only one actually waiting to chat. The funny thing is, I’m usually a terrible texter with my own friends and I don't care if they leave me on read for days. Plus, I'm usually the first person to say we're all way too chronically online and losing our minds over texting habits. But here, well... you know how it is 💀
He's asian so we're in different time zones (I KNOW someone slap me ðŸ˜) If I wasn't a night owl we wouldn't even talk at all.
I feel so stupid, I know I shouldn't deep it over an LDR crush but seeing someone who was such a big part of my daily routine suddenly change like this just hurts and has me in my head.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is he just slow fading me, and should I just move on?
Thanks to anyone who read all this 🥹
