CINDE MT Level 2 trainee in the GTA – how did you land your first NDT job or shutdown work?

I’m based in the GTA (Vaughan) and trying to break into NDT as a trainee. I’ve only completed CINDE training for MT Level 2 so far and I’m currently working through UT fundamentals, but I’m having trouble getting my foot in the door. I’m open to trainee or entry-level roles in the GTA or surrounding areas, and I’m also willing to travel anywhere in Canada for shutdown/turnaround work. I’ve been applying online but not getting much traction, so I was hoping to get some advice from people who’ve been through this: which companies actually take trainees in Ontario or hire for shutdowns, is it better to push for more tickets first (PT/UT levels) or just keep applying, and any tips on how to stand out as a new inspector with limited field hours? If you’re hiring or know of teams that take trainees, any pointers on where to focus next would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
