Sealed AirPods Max – customs at Chennai Airport?

Flying from Spain to Chennai via Abu Dhabi in a couple of weeks. I’m bringing a brand-new sealed pair of AirPods Max as a gift for my brother in India (~₹39k / €355).

I’d really like to keep them sealed so he can unbox them himself.

Has anyone recently entered India through Chennai (MAA) with a sealed electronic gift like this? Did you declare it/pay duty, or just go through the green channel? Any issues with customs?

Would especially appreciate recent Chennai experiences. Thanks!
