How to get over the fear of stitches?

I had an abscess cut open and drained. Apparently they needed to cut it quite deep. Had my second dressing done today. Doc said to come back in 2 days, to get it stitched.

I just can’t imagine getting sewn with a needle with my skin being a cloth. I know I will be anaesthetized but still am super nervous.

I don’t know what to do. How do I get my head straight?
