Are there any weapons that are more aligned with the Dark Souls Claymore?

The move set on the Demon's Souls claymore really surprised me insomuch as it does not feel anything like the claymore that became standardized in later games. Are there any swords around that aren't the basic longsword that have a poke and slashes?
