I can’t be the only one that finds Fi more relatable than Fe

Discussion

Seriously I sometimes think that Fe is more of a foil to Ti than Fi is. Maybe it’s because they’re both internal functions so Ti doms can sense the same independence streak that Fi doms or even Fi terts have, even if they don’t make immediate sense.

Take this example I know well - Desmond Doss (there was a great war movie about him), the most Fi-dom of Fi doms, a conscientious objector from WWII that refused to wield or touch a gun even during training, then reportedly saved about 100 men during his time in service. Boy, he didn’t make a lick of logic going to a war zone completely unarmed, but I find it… admirable? that he stuck to his beliefs no matter how many pressured or ridiculed him? Almost like how Ti doms would defend their positions to the death if they were undoubtedly sure of themselves.

But Fe? I want to throw up at its usage a lot of the time, to the point I wish it was deleted off the ISTP’s stack. I can’t think of a more cringey opponent to Ti than not just personal feelings, but other people’s feelings*. Ugh.* I lost count of how many times I wanted to smack the gobsmack off others that say to “be more compassionate” and “have empathy” towards complete lunatics and people spouting nonsense.

I’m not the only one that’s ever wished to have Fi, however low, in their conscious stack right? I’ve stumbled more from Fe in saying what I wanted to say and doing what I wanted to do.
