Period post-op lap

I am over a month post-op lap (my first one), diagnosed with endometriosis. I had an IUD placed, but my body is still adjusting to the hormones, so I’m still experiencing my menstrual cycle.

I heard the first period post lap is always the worst. I felt fine (my period was a week after the surgery) and was actually the most tolerable period I have had in years.

My issue is my current period. I feel exactly how I felt pre lap: extreme fatigue, debilitating cramps, migraines, leg/shoulder pain. It feels as though the surgery did nothing to relieve the symptoms. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?
